Your Questions About My Tips Au Prizes

Sandra asks…

Messy situation , will you please vote to help me out of it?

i should probably be asking for cleaning and organising tips before anything!

will you please vote for my pic? (provided you think i’m messy enough to deserve it!)

mine has a Red Border
and it’s titled “welcome..”

http://www.whoisthemessiest.com.au/showcase.php

yes, that is my mess *hides in shame!*. i am hoping the prize might help me with some storage solutions! thanks, let me know if you vote!

admin answers:

Yes I did vote, just so that the sooner declared winner you can clean up all of that. So let’s start

1) To help fight boredom, put on some music you like while you clean.
2) This is where the music will really help: start with your closet, put all clean clothes where they belong (hangers, etc.) dirty clothes in a hamper, or laundry basket. Remember to put your shoes in the closet too. Then, your dresser-make sure all clean clothes are put away in proper order (underwear in top drawer, etc.,), Dust and declutter the top of the dresser, put things back where they belong. Same with desk, table, chair, etc. Have you changed the sheets on your bed yet this week? If not, please do so. Then Vacuum (or sweep the floor if hardwood), take out the trash. Done!
Now, the trick is this: to keep it up daily–if you have dirty dishes in your room, take them out to the kitchen as soon as you are done eating/drinking. Have a place for your papers, a file folder, etc. Make sure all surfaces are de-cluttered before you go to bed. Make your bed every morning when you first get up. You only need to dust and vacuum and take the trash out once per week (unless you have a lot of trash). Basically, it’s have a place for everything, and everything in it’s place. Being organized helps keep things clean/tidy.
3) For storage bins, I would suggest IKEA/Wal-Mart/K-Mart,
for inexpensive but good storage bins.
Have fun. Take care.

Entering Dolly magazine’s Neighbours (a popular TV show in Australia) audition. Have any tips etc.?

See http://dolly.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=578261

It says I need to send in a video of me performing a script (found in the latest Dolly magazine), and also a CV (I think that’s a resume?) and a headshot photo of myself.

I’m 12 (nearly 13) and have never done any performances or anything, but I’ve been doing Drama at my highschool this year and am really enjoying it and people say I’m doing really well!

Is there anything I really need to know? Would would I need to include in my CV? Would they consider me seeing as I’m not experienced in acting?

The prize is a contract on Neighbours for 6 weeks, which may be extended to up to three years!

All comments + tips etc. are appreciated! Thanks : )
P.S. – I also want to stand out in a crowd! After all, there will be a lot of people entering!

admin answers:

Go after your dreams. Be sure to mention ” Although I have no professional trainer in acting, I feel its just one of those that isn’t mandatory in being taught. However, if it is meant for you, you will learn naturally.” Also be sure to mention you have however that you have been participating in your high school drama. Keep in mind, a smile is cute so be sure to stay confident and smile.

I’m basically looking for ways to stand out in the crowd (there will be heaps of people entering!) as well as learn any other tips and comments etc. – all of which are appreciated : )

admin answers:

Your CV is your resume. Remember to put the most recent thing first, and divide it up into categories: e.g. Academic qualifications (obviously you’re quite young so won’t have many of these yet – don’t worry! Just include the schools you go / have been to), Work Experience, and Talents & Skills. If you have any vocational qualifications (e.g. Singing grades, dance exams, regional diving champion etc) then include those too.

Put in everything you can think of, even if it doesn’t seem relevant. Your startling ability to waterski may not seem worth mentioning but seem like it’ll make much difference to a soap based in a small dead-end street but if you’ve got something they can use, then they’ll be interested, because there’s no point in having actors who can’t do anything of use. They can always write things into the script, and you’ll find yourself waterskiing on national TV in no time!! Having said that, be concise, and don’t go over the top (e.g. “I once beat my friend at Connect 4 sixteen times in one afternoon)”. When it comes to your CV, you can’t say things like “everyone says I’m really good” – although that’s great that they say that, and obviously you can keep that thought in your head to give yourself confidence and drive, they won’t care, and it won’t look good.

Ditto what the poster above said in terms of character: do something different. Watch some episodes of Neighbours and see who is missing. Bree (? – it’s been a while since I watched it, and I’m in the UK so we’re behind!) did that whole goth-look already, so I wouldn’t recommend that. But which “group” isn’t being represented? Who would you, as a viewer, like to see on screen when you watch it every day? If you can have reasoning behind why you think that your character would be invaluable to the story, then they will be far more likely to take notice.

Good luck! The entire student population of Britain will be behind you!!

Entering the Dolly magazine TV show audition. How can I stand out (for the right reasons)?

See http://dolly.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=578261

It says I need to send in a video of me performing a script (in the latest Dolly magazine), and also a CV (resume) and a headshot photo of myself. The script is a monologue about a girl talking about her 1st day @ school and her feelings – good and bad.

I’m 12 (13 tomorrow!!) and have never done any performances or anything, but I’ve been doing Drama at my highschool this year and am really enjoying it and people have been complimenting me and saying I’m doing really well (I really don’t mean to sound full of myself, but it is true that people say that).

I’m basically looking for ways to stand out in the crowd as well as learn any other tips and comments etc. – all of which are appreciated!

admin answers:

First of all, the video. I think it’s best that before recording, to practise in front of a mirror until you know what you’re supposed to say. After you’re comfortable with that, it esential that you ‘perform’ in front of an audience. Not anything big of course, just a couple of your friends (who won’t laugh at you!) Not only will it result in making you more comfortable with your monologue, but it will also give you and idea of what it may actually be like in the filming process. It won’t just be you and the camera on a Neighbours set!

Next, the CV. Don’t worry if you haven’t had any profesional experience. I dont think that they’ll expect professionals to audition for this anyways. They’re looking for fresh talent. However, what you can do, is put down what performances you have done, say, in school productions, whether you got leads or not, awards you may have received for drama ane etc. It’s not boasting, really, its just showing what you’ve got. Also, try to add in interesting things about yourself. Like what sports you may do, any charitable work, stuff like that. Don’t be afraid of doing it! In about the first 5 minutes of looking at your CV they’ll make a judgement, so what would you like them to think? You’re an inexperienced bore, or a competent, fun and interesting person, one that would be a pleasure to have on set? Go figure.

But remember, as this is your first time in audtioning, you shouldn’t expect to be chosen. If you are, that’s great, but if you aren’t, it will have been a worth while experience anyway. Learn from it and your mistakes, but what am I saying?! Enjoy it!

Your Questions About How Do Magnets Work

Maria asks…

How do magnets work, and what are their uses?

For school I need to write a paper about magnets, their uses and how they are made.

How are magnets made, why do they work and what are the most important uses of magnets?

admin answers:

Try mormonchat.com. They know a lot about magnets.

Thomas asks…

How do magnets work at the atomic level?

I know the basics about how magnets work and interact. But at the atomic level, what causes a metal to be magnetic. Also, when two magnetic substances interact, its there and electron flow of some sort? or at least electron transfer? I am really curious as to what happens at that level.

admin answers:

Hi there

Questions that often come up are, “How do magnets work?”, or, “Why is iron magnetic?”, or, “What makes a magnet?”, or, “What is the magnetic field made of?”.

Those are good questions, and deserve a good answer. However, did you know that there is a lot about magnets at the atomic level that isn’t known yet? Just like with most of the other basic forces we are familiar with, such as gravity, electricity, mechanics and heat, scientists start by trying to understand how they work, what they do, are there any formulas that can be made to describe (and thus predict) their behavior so we can begin to control them, and so on.

Atomic Magnetism

There are only a few elements in the periodic table that are attracted to magnets. None of the elements, by themselves, make good permanent magnets, but can become temporary magnets (when close to another magnet). When alloys of various metals are made, some of these alloys make very good magnets. Why? We don’t really know, but we can observe some consistent rules.

As you know, we have seen that when current flows in a wire, a magnetic field is created around the wire. Current is simply a bunch of moving electrons, and moving electrons make a magnetic field. This is how electromagnets are made to work. This will be important to keep in mind as we zoom into the structure of atoms.

Around the nucleus of the atom, where the protons and neutrons live, there are electrons whizzing around. We used to think that they had certain circular orbits like the planets have around the sun, but have discovered that it is much more complicated, and much more exciting! Instead, the patterns of where we would likely find the electron within one of these orbitals takes into account Schroedinger’s wave equations. Pictures of each of these orbitals can be found at http://www.shef.ac.uk/chemistry/orbitron/index.html. (These also take into account Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle and probability theory.)

First, electrons can be thought of as occupying certain shells that surround the nucleus of the atom. These shells have been given letter names like K,L,M,N,O,P,Q. They have also been given number names, such as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. (This is what quantum mechanics is all about).

Within the shell, there may exist subshells or orbitals, with letter names such as s,p,d,f. Some of these orbitals look like spheres, some look like an hourglass, others look like beads on a bracelet.

The f orbital can contain 14 electrons, 2 in each of its 7 sub-orbitals.
(And there is a g orbital that can contain 18 electrons, 2 in each of its 9 sub-orbitals, for highly excited electrons.)

A maximum of 2 electrons can occupy a sub-orbital where one has a spin of UP, the other has a spin of DOWN. There can not be two electrons with spin UP in the same sub-orbital. (Pauli exclusion principal.) Also, when you have a pair of electrons in a sub-orbital, their combined magnetic fields will cancel each other out.

In order to show how many electrons are in each orbital, the following convention is sometimes used:
Chlorine has 1s22s22p63s23p5 for a total of 17 electrons. This tells us that there are 2 in 1s, 2 in 2s, 6 in 2p, 2 in 3s, and 5 in 3p.

After each orbital is full, it starts to fill the next one in this sequence. There are a few odd jumps in the sequence when you get to filling the 4f, 5d and 6p orbitals, but that’s how it goes.

If we were to examine Iron (atomic number 26), Cobalt (27), Nickel (28) and Gadolinium (64), all of which are considered ferromagnetic since they are strongly attracted to a magnet, it is difficult to see what makes them so different from the other elements next to them or below them in the periodic table. In other words, if Iron is so strongly magnetic, why isn’t Manganese? Perhaps there are other factors we need to take into account such as the crystalline structure. But it is generally accepted that these ferromagnetic elements have large magnetic moments due to un-paired electrons in their outer orbitals. This is like having current flowing in a coil of wire, creating a magnetic field. Even the spin of the electron is thought to create a minute magnetic field. When you get a bunch of these fields together, they add up to bigger fields.

Hope it helps!

Chris asks…

How do magnets work when I ride my horse?

I tried to ride a horse but it wouldn’t listen. Someone told me to use magnets but I don’t know how they work!

admin answers:

A magnet is any object that has a magnetic field. It attracts ferrous objects like pieces of iron, steel, nickel and cobalt. In the early days, the Greeks observed that the naturally occurring ‘lodestone’ attracted iron pieces. From that day onwards began the journey into the discovery of magnets.

What is a magnetic field? The space surrounding a magnet, in which magnetic force is exerted, is called a magnetic field. If a bar magnet is placed in such a field, it will experience magnetic forces. However, the field will continue to exist even if the magnet is removed. The direction of magnetic field at a point is the directiopenisn of the resultant force acting on a hypothetical North Pole placed at that point.

When current flows in a wire, a magnetic field is created around the wire. From this it has been inferred that magnetic fields are produced by the motion of electrical charges. A magnetic field of a bar magnet thus results fromvagina the motion of negatively charged electrons in the magnet.

Just as an electric field is described by drawing the electric lines of force, in the same way, a magnetic field is described by drawing the magnetic lines of force. When a small north magnetic pole is placed in the magnetic field created by a magnet, it will experience a force. And if the North Pole is free, it will move under the influenassholece of magnetic fielfucking trolledd. The path traced by a North magnetic pole free to movepenised under ttrololololhe influence of a magnetic field is called a magnetic line of force. In other words, the magnetic lines of force are the lines drawn in a magnetic field along which a north magnetic pole would move.

The direction of a magnetic line of force at any point gives the direction of the magnetic force on a north pole placed at that point. Since the direction of magnetic line of force is the direction of force on a North Pole, so the magnetic lines of force always begin on the N-pole of a magnet and end on the S-pole of thelolz magnet. A small magneticyou’ll never get this compass when moved along a line of force always sets itself along the line tangential to it. So, a line drawn from the South Pole of the compass to its North Pole indicates the direction of the magnetic field.

Long story short, you have to get the magnet as far into your horses arse as possible before you start seeing any results. Even then i’d put another one just to make sure you dont get jew’d out of a good ride. If he starts kicking back just tie down his legs, don’t worry it might not hurt the horse, I’m pretty sure.

Daniel asks…

How the hell do magnets work?

I don’t want an elementary school explanation. How does a north pole attract a south pole?

Would magnets work on other planets?

admin answers:

I’m not quite sure, seeing as I’m Christian, but you may want to seek the help of a local mormon. They’ll usually pop by your home at around 7:30 on saturday morning.

Hope I helped

Steven asks…

Why do people think how magnets work proves God exists?

I am NOT kidding or complaining. I have noticed that people sometimes challenge their opponant “if there’s no God, then explain how magnets work.”
I don’t get the connection. Why would the existence of magnets prove God?

admin answers:

“F***ing Magnets, How Do They Work? Is a lyrical reference to the 2009 single Miracles by the Insane Clown Posse, an American hip hop duo from Detroit, Michigan. The song describes the wonders of the universe and an appreciation for nature’s beauty, while angrily eschewing science. Among the most quotable lines can be heard at 1:52, “f***ing magnets, how do they work,” which instantly became a popular catchphrase on the web.

Combine that with the argument from ignorance logical fallacy.

Ken asks…

What do people mean that mormons don’t know how magnets work?

I hear jokes about how mormon’s don’t know how magnets work like they have their own theory about it or something but I’ve asked Mormons about it before and they all have no idea what I’m talking about.

admin answers:

Because 98% of Mormons have no idea how magnets work.

I don’t know why they can’t understand that magnets are just pieces of gravity dug out of the earth. I mean, it’s so simple!

William asks…

How do magnets work if energy can not be made or destroyed, merely changed?

Energy can not be made or created right?

So how do magnets make kenetic energy?

admin answers:

Magnets don’t make knetic energy, it makes magnetism.

Your Questions About How Do You Know

Sandra asks…

How do you know when a guy wants to kiss you?

How do you know when its ok to touch a guy or hold his hand?

admin answers:

Well normally you can tell by how A guy looks at you, And acts around you..
You need to take into context of what kinda of guy he is, Is he Shy? Or more outgoing?
If he’s shy, You’ll know by him looking down and back up at you and making eye contact with your lips.
If he’s outgoing, He’ll most likely be the one kissing you, And as far as holding hands and touching A guy I’d wait for him to do those things, It’s the only sure way to know that he’s ready for that kind of contact.

Sharon asks…

How do you know if you are leaking fluid?

I’m 35 weeks with my second, and I was wonder… How do you know if you are leaking fluid, or if you just have a leaky bladder?
When I go to the bathroom, I have a wet spot in my underwear every time, that’s why I’m not real sure. This pregnancy has been a lot different from my first.

admin answers:

If it doesn’t stop after a couple of minutes and you are feeling contractions soon afterwards, then your water probably broke. If it comes and goes throughout the day and you don’t feel any contractions whatsoever, then you probably just have a leaky bladder.

When your water breaks, it can come gushing out like most people imagine, but it can also come out really slow too, which makes it hard to tell if your water broke or if you’re just leaking urine. If it hasn’t stopped after a little while, you can go down to the hospital and they can do a quick paper test that shows whether the fluid is urine or amniotic fluid. That should put your mind at rest Good luck!

At work, whatever you do is never enough, so… how do you know when what you do is enough?

We all know how you are always expected to perform above and beyond.

People works days nights weekends and nowadays its expected.

So here’s my question:

At what point CAN you shamelessly say

“that’s enough for today”?
“i can now take a day off for holiday?”

“i should be able to take a vacation now?”

“i did a good job”?

In other words how much work is “excellent job performance”?

What are key parameters which determine whether or not you are doing a good job in a deterministic manner, i.e. CLEARLY and unquestionably?

admin answers:

It is enough for a day if you have finished what you needed to do and helped other people out without being asked.

Your Questions About How Does Twitter Work

Chris asks…

How does trending topic on twitter work? Why does a 2nd spot trending topic disappeared suddenly on the TTs?

How does trending topic on twitter work? Why does a 2nd spot trending topic disappeared suddenly on the trending topics? For example, a 2nd spot trending topic “#saranghaeyokimheechul” had disappeared suddenly. Thanks ^^;;

admin answers:

Twitter updates really quickly. People are Tweeting new things all the time which can trend within 5 minutes of becoming breaking news.

Another possibility is regulation, if a topic begins trending and suddenly disappears, it could be inappropriate or just become unpopular. The internet world is so quick you can blink your eyes and new websites are huge, topics are gone or have become TT’s.

I saw a chance to win a sony Vaio laptop go trending from @Shopow_ and before I got chance it vanished! I ended up knowing a friend who had entered the draw so I tracked them down.

Hope this answers your Question.

James asks…

How exactly does Twitter work?

I hear a bit about twitter but what exactly is it? My friend told me it works with your cell phone, how does it work with your cell phone? When you use your cell phone, do you get charged? can someone please help me? Thanks.

admin answers:

Twitter is USELESS

you just update what your doing in the moment. The whole cell phone thing is if you want to update what your doing on the go.

For example if i was on twitter right now my ‘tweet’ would of been

‘answering questions on answers.’

Lisa asks…

How does twitter work?

I want to sign up I know you can follow your favorite celebrities on it but not much else so how does it work and how old do you have to be to use it

admin answers:

Twitter is a website which offers a social networking service which enables its users to send and read other users’ messages called tweets. Tweets are publicly visible by default, however senders can restrict message delivery to their friends list. Users may subscribe to other author tweets—this is known as following and subscribers are known as followers. Twitter has many uses for both personal and business use. It’s a great way to keep in touch with your friends and quickly broadcast information about where you are and what you’re up to. For example, “I’m downtown and aching for some sushi. Anyone like to join me?”

by the way, Twitter has no minimum age, so everyone old enough to read can join.

Michael asks…

How does twitter work? do the orginal authors see my reply,or do they have to be following me?

I am following several people on twitter, do they need to be following me as well, to see my posts?

admin answers:

Yes , they should follow you to see your posts, if you are following them you see their posts, and they will not see your posts until they follow you.

John asks…

How does Twitter work? Is it used for social networking?

I’ve been looking into Twitter and it seems like everyone’s post is all having to do with media stuff such as mostly sports and some politics. I don’t see much socializing. Is that how it is?

admin answers:

It is not really a social networking site. In twitter there are many celebrities. You can follow them or ask your friend to follow you. If you follow some celebrities you’ll get there’s latest update. There is nothing special about Twitter.

Sandy asks…

How the hell does Twitter work, seriously!!!?

I have no clue how to work it. People can only see your tweets if they’re following you? Or if you do a direct tweet? Is this right?

Also some more explanation would be nice. Hahaha. Im a FB gal.

admin answers:

Hi!
So basically Twitter is a site where you can tweet about “What’s happening?” in 140 characters.

When you go to twitter.com/home while signed in, you will be looking at a timeline. The timeline has tweets from people you follow. Anyone (whether they follow you or not) can see your tweets, but if you are a protected user, you would need to approve people to follow you and view your tweets. When someone follows you, they can view your tweets in their timeline.

When you scroll over a tweet; you will see a favorite button, a reply button, and a retweet button. “Favorite” means that you favorite the tweet, and it will appear in your favorites on Twitter. “Reply” means to reply to the tweet. “Retweet” means to tweet another person’s tweet so that your friends will see it in their timeline.

When you follow people on Twitter, you might wanna make groups of these people, so sometimes you can see only news tweets or tweets from your friends. You can make lists on Twitter to do this.
The “list” icon will appear on Twitter profiles if you are following the person, you can include that person on one of your lists. If you want your list to be private so only you can see it, you can private the list.

On Twitter, you can also “direct message”. A direct message is a private message that you can send to someone who follows you and you also follow them. You and the other person are the only people who can see the direct messages. Direct messages are pretty much a private version of replies.

Many people use applications for Twitter (although, this is not necessary, as you can just tweet on the Twitter website), to tweet. I use TweetDeck. To upload pictures, you can use TwitPic. To do and make quizzes or polls you can use LOLquiz or Fun140. There are also fun Twitter games such as Spymaster, that you can play.

Hope I could help!

George asks…

How does twitter work, could you give me more details?

Everybody is talking about twitter could you tell me more about it?

admin answers:

Twitter offers a simple way for people to connect. Twitter asks one question… “What are you doing?”

Answers must be under 140 characters in length and can be sent via mobile texting, instant message, or the web.

Twitter’s core technology is a device agnostic message routing system with rudimentary social networking features. They accept messages from SMS, web, mobile web, instant message, or from third party API projects.

Twitter’s engineering team works with an open-source web application framework called Ruby on Rails. The web site and user interface were designed using Omnigraffle and Photoshop. They like to make frequent changes to the interface, and Rails provides them with a skeleton code frameworks so they don’t have to re-do the whole site every time they add or change something like a sign in form or a picture upload feature. I realize that 90% of you do not care about this but now you know

Twitter has a very simple interface for interacting with other users – simply type your message in to a text box, and click to send it out. It then goes into Twitter’s database, is sent out to all that area following you, will appear on your own homepage, your profile and on any cross-platform third party application you might be using (I will get into much more details on this later).

Your Questions About How Do Magnets Work

James asks…

How do magnets work, and what are their uses?

For school I need to write a paper about magnets, their uses and how they are made.

How are magnets made, why do they work and what are the most important uses of magnets?

admin answers:

Try mormonchat.com. They know a lot about magnets.

Robert asks…

Mandy asks…

Steven asks…

How the hell do magnets work?

I don’t want an elementary school explanation. How does a north pole attract a south pole?

Would magnets work on other planets?

admin answers:

I’m not quite sure, seeing as I’m Christian, but you may want to seek the help of a local mormon. They’ll usually pop by your home at around 7:30 on saturday morning.

Hope I helped

Laura asks…

Mary asks…

What do people mean that mormons don’t know how magnets work?

I hear jokes about how mormon’s don’t know how magnets work like they have their own theory about it or something but I’ve asked Mormons about it before and they all have no idea what I’m talking about.

admin answers:

Because 98% of Mormons have no idea how magnets work.

I don’t know why they can’t understand that magnets are just pieces of gravity dug out of the earth. I mean, it’s so simple!

Michael asks…

How do magnets work if energy can not be made or destroyed, merely changed?

Energy can not be made or created right?

So how do magnets make kenetic energy?

admin answers:

Magnets don’t make knetic energy, it makes magnetism.

Your Questions About How Do You Find The Area Of A Circle

Ken asks…

How do you find area of a circle with circumference?

how do u find area of a circle using circumference for example 18.84 units is the circumference.

admin answers:

Divide the circumference by PI (approximately 3.14159) to get the diameter. Then divide the diameter by 2 to get the radius. Then the area is equal to PI times (radius squared). Usually stated as A = PI*r^2.

Lizzie asks…

I have to do this matth packet but im totally brain dead. How do you find Area and Circumfrence of a circle???

The thing i need to find is a circle with a Diameter of 10. I think thats what it is. Its a circle with a line going across like this: ——– and above the line, it says 10 cm

admin answers:

Area of a Circle = pi x r^2

the radius is 1/2 the diameter so your radius is 5 cm

Area = pi x (5cm)^2

= pi x 25 cm^2
= 78.5 cm^2

The circumference is equal to 2 x pi x r
or
C = 2 x pi x 5cm
= 31.4 cm

you can use 3.14 as a value for pi in these problems

Betty asks…

How do u make a formula for finding the area and preimeter of a regular octagon circumscribd around a circle?

Radius of circle is r,
Formula has to include what you did with circle to find Area and preimeter of circle

admin answers:

The octagon can be divided into 16 right triangles with apex angle = 22.5°. For each triangle:
      base = r·tan(22.5°)
      height = r
      area = (½)r²·tan(22.5°)

area of octagon = 16·(area of triangle)
      = 8r²·tan(22.5°)

perimeter of octagon = 16·(base of triangle)
      = 16r·tan(22.5°)

Daniel asks…

how do you find area of a circle?

the question is the area of a circle is 25pi find the length of the radius.

a=pr^

can anyone explain it?

admin answers:

Area of a circle (A) = pi r^2

Find r:
Solve A = pi r^2 for A:

A = pi r^2

r^2 = A/pi

r = sqrt(A/pi)

A = 25pi

r = sqrt(25pi/pi)

r = sqrt(25)

r = 5

George asks…

How do you find the area of a circle with the middle as square shape?

Ok, so you have to find the area of the shaded shape which is the circle. The circle has a radius of 4cm and the squares’ (which is in the middle of the circle) length is 4×4. Please help me, It’s due for Monday.

admin answers:

Use the formula πr^2 to find the circle.

π x (4)^2 = 50.27

The area of the square can be found by 4 x 4 = 16

subtract both of them to find the shaded area.

50.27 – 16 = 34.27

David asks…

How do you find the area of a circle in terms of pi?

I know how u find the area I just need help with this. It says to find the area in terms of pi. Do you find the answer and leave pi or multiply ur answer by pi? Ie. A circle with a radius of 6in. Is the answer 36pi or 36*3.14?

admin answers:

To find the area of a circle you do
Area = (pi)*radius^2 (pi times radius squared)
So Area = app 3.14159 times (6 times 6)
So Area = app. 3.14159 times 36
So area of circle with 6 inch diameter = app. 113.09724 inches squared!
Or 36 times pi (app 3.14159)
Or 36(pi)

Charles asks…

How do you find the area of a circle when only given the circumference?

The circumference of the circle is 10ft
how do I find the area?

admin answers:

Solve for radius, like so:
10 feet = 2(pi)r
10 feet = 6.28r
r = 1.59 feet

Now that you know what the radius is, use a=(pi)(r squared) to find the area. Simple.

Your Questions About How Do You Know

Ken asks…

David asks…

That should put your mind at rest Good luck!

admin answers:

Get your parents to call them and find out all the necessary information.

Michael asks…

How do you know if your in love?

Just how do you know?

admin answers:

I believe you know that you are in love when you can think great things about the person you are with and not bad thing, you can not wait to hear from them or see them and not just to have sex just to be around their love like talking, smiling, feeling his touch without him touching you and still being able to smelling him when he’s not around, if you do any of these things then you are in love but make sure that you receive it back because you do not want to give it to someone that can not give it back. All the best to you. Peace&love

Sandra asks…

Gay comm. How do you know when a guys is flirting or atleast trying?

I think I’ve lost so many potential “conversations” with cute guys at the mall beacause I don’t know if guys are coming on to me and I don’t know how to respond

Tips??

admin answers:

Well the only advice I can give is if you are interested don’t wait for them!! Start the flirting ball rolling yourself!! It’s hard to put yourself out and if you aren’t willing to do it then it’s tough to expect it from the other person. Be the one to open the door and if a person isn’t interest simply move on to someone who might be.

I have about 4 old coca-cola bottles that i know are old, but i have no idea exactly HOW old they are.
can anyone help me with this? is there like a date on it that i’m not seeing?
i looked on the neck and on the bottom, but all that the bottom says is “Grand Rapids,Mich.” all i can find on the neck is random numbers.
i found some supicious numbers- it says on the botle: “trade mark registered, bottle pat.d-10-55-29″

what does that mean?

admin answers:

There is usually a date on the neck or bottom of it

Lisa asks…
