1. There is a circle with a square inscribed. Each side is 6 cm. How do you find circumference?
2. There is a circle with a triangle inscribed. Each side is 6 cm. How do you find the circumference?
3. There is a circle with a regular hexagon inscribed. Each side is 6 cm. How do you find the circumference?
Honestly I don’t usually ask for help on homework online I just cannot figure these out!

You do each of these by finding the radius or diameter of the circle first. Then use the equation:
Circumference = pi * diameter. The radius goes from the center of the circle to one of the points of the other shapes where it touches the circle.
In the case of the square, we can go directly to the diameter. The diameter is the same as the diagonal of the square, which is 6 * sqrt(2) (you can derive this from the pythagorean theorem if you want) . For your first problem, the answer is
Circumference = pi * 6 * sqrt(2).
For the equilateral triangle, the circle described is called the circumcircle, and the formula for the radius of the circumcircle is s/(sqrt(3)). Since our formula uses the diameter, we need to double this
Circumference = pi * 2 * 6/sqrt(3)
For the hexagon, the circle is again called the circumcircle. If you search for circumcircle circumference hexagon, I’m sure you’ll find what you need.

The radius is half the diameter.
If we call the circumference C, the diameter d, and the radius r, we can write these as two formulas:
π = C/d
r = d/2.
OK, so we are only told what r is, and we need to know what C is.
Since r = d/2,
2r = 2(d/2) = d.
This means π = C/2r, so
2r(π) = 2r(C/2r) = C*(2r/2r) = C*1 = C.
The approximation π ~ 3.1416 is usually close enough for most practical purposes.

You need to work backwards.
You know that the area of a circle is found using the formula A = pi (3.14) x radius x radius. So, if you divide the known area (100 meters) by pi (3.14), you will get the radius squared.
Then you need to find the square root of that to have the actual length of the radius which you know is half of your diameter.
Finally, just use the diameter to determine the circumference of the circle. The formula for that is C = pi x diameter.
Now that you know how to do it, you can find the answers for yourself.

The circumference of the circle touches all 4 sides of the rhombus. Is it possible to find the radius of the inscribed circle? If so, how and what is it?

The diagonals of a rhombus are perpendicular, so ABO is a right triangle with right angle at the center O. The legs are 6 and 10, so the hypotenuse AB has length sqrt(136).
The radius you seek is the perpendicular OP from O to AB. Suppose that |OP| = x and use similar triangles to get x:10 = 6:sqrt(136). X is 30/sqrt(34), which is about 5.145.

How can I find Children’s books in public domain from google book?
When I search books in public domain from google book,
I can only specify the keyword to find what I want to read.
Since they are not categorised it’s really hard to find “some children’s books”
“children’s books” means some kind of easy books to read for low grade Elementary school kids.
Does anybody have an idea the way of finding those kind of books in public domain from google book?

Hmm, I don’t use Google books and don’t know what it is. Try wikipedia to see if you can find the names of some children’s books authors. The Brother’s Grim wrote so-called children’s stories, but you might want to read them to make sure they’re appropriate for your children. Also, look up the author of Alice in Wonderland, which is in the public domain, and that’s by Lewis Carrol (not 100% sure), I think the Carrol title is Through the Looking Glass. Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Cinderella, Hansel and Grettel. Whatever book or story you can remember from childhood might be in the public domain and I know these titles are. Look up some of these titles on Wikipedia and it might lead you to other childrens books and children’s books authors.

Whenever I’m playing an online game , or watching a video online, my computer noramlly shuts down 5-10 minutes after. I have to them switch off the plugs for 10 seconds and open it again.
Does anyone know why and how i can sort it?

Check if your video card drivers are up-to-date
if they are i think that its your video card, its not capable to handle the things u want to do with it. If your pretty pretty sure it isn’t it, then it lies into the installation on your computer(but i think its the quality of your video card)

If you’re using IE or Firefox, you should go into your options and check out your settings regarding those. Some sort of settings are blocking them somehow.

Lately I’ve been on www.justin.tv alot and i wanna start broadcasting my own channel of games on my computer of emulators and downloaded games etc. but i dont know what i need to get so any help?

If you want record from a console then you should use a Dazzle or an EasyCap but if you are using a PC then you could use a Hypercam or if u are using an emulator some of those have a record function on them

Yes, it should. Some people may be shy because of the way they look or the way they speak but if you’re playing online, you’re a complete stranger to everyone so even if you do make a fool of yourself, it doesn’t matter because they don’t know who you are in real life. If you get use to speaking to people online with the mic then it will boost you self confidence more outside.

NBA Video Games: Live Action or Computer Generated?
Which do you think would be better?
A live action NBA video game, using the real players (think mortal kombat or NBA Jam type graphics) or the computer generated graphics used now.
I know players don’t have time to do videos with green/blue screen, but what about using some footage from their games?
Just a thought.
I think NBA games now suck and with the technology of the game systems now they should be much better/realistic.
What do you think should be added to them and what would make them better?

The first one is the Myst Theme. The one at 3:44 (on Youtube) is the ending of Myst III: Exile. The song following that is the main theme of the same game. I am not too sure about the others. Just get the soundtracks for each game in the Myst Series.

What is up with so many people posting vids of their Smackdown vs Raw game on the internet? Do they think that we actually want to watc h them play videogames? Does ANYONE watch these videos? I want to make walk through videos for video games. I have a Xbox360 and a Playstation3 and I have a 74″ Sony Bravia. What type of equiment do i need to get to record a walk through then upload it to my computer?

You can use a TV tuner card that installs in an expansion port on your computer. There aren’t any of these that take HDMI connections, so you will have to use composite video. Also note that your TV will be left out of the loop.
To add your own commentary, you’ll need something better than WMM. There are some free options that may let you mix in audio, but you’ll probably find that any of the sub-$100 video editors are more versatile without being too expensive.

I’ve seen videos of video games on a lot of things. For example, recent videos I’ve seen are these mario series on youtube by MATTHEWGU4 that were made on Super Mario 64.

Well, sometimes i play videos games mostly all through the night…is this bad for my health? does it show an addiction?

Well not getting enough sleep would be bad, for example you could gaining weight 60/100 chance, stress 40/100 chance, loss of eye vision 20/100 chance, and not realizing your bored 60/100 chance. No it does not show addiction unless you play all the time throughout the night. I play game’s throughout the day becauses it’s a lot better

READ BEFORE ANSWERING!
Now that youtube has a new built-in 3d mode on videos, I’ve seen a lot of video game ones. I understand how to use the method of two different cameras at different angles so I can use the “cross-eyed” view. But I don’t know how to get different angles. Any ideas of how people do this?

If you want record from a console then you should use a Dazzle or an EasyCap but if you are using a PC then you could use a Hypercam or if u are using an emulator some of those have a record function on them

Yes, it should. Some people may be shy because of the way they look or the way they speak but if you’re playing online, you’re a complete stranger to everyone so even if you do make a fool of yourself, it doesn’t matter because they don’t know who you are in real life. If you get use to speaking to people online with the mic then it will boost you self confidence more outside.

Which do you think would be better?
A live action NBA video game, using the real players (think mortal kombat or NBA Jam type graphics) or the computer generated graphics used now.
I know players don’t have time to do videos with green/blue screen, but what about using some footage from their games?

I think NBA games now suck and with the technology of the game systems now they should be much better/realistic.

The first one is the Myst Theme. The one at 3:44 (on Youtube) is the ending of Myst III: Exile. The song following that is the main theme of the same game. I am not too sure about the others. Just get the soundtracks for each game in the Myst Series.
