First and foremost, no water bowl is 100% spill or splash proof but this one is working well for us. I don’t normally write reviews but noticed some of the negative reviews indicated that the bowl was hard to clean. I think what those people are probably missing is that the lip which is the splashproof part pops off of the bowl fairly easily and you can put it in the dishwasher or handwash this bowl very easily.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one of these. Great idea and product.

Very sturdy and doesn’t splash water. Love the handle to help carry the bowl. It is a little hard to get the top ring off to clean out the bowl, but other than that, it is the best dog bowl that I have ever owned. I saw it in the stores too and it is cheaper on Amazon.

This bowl is exactly what I wanted and looks just like in the image. If you have a naughty pet then, this is the perfect option not to have problems with spilled water. I bought 2 of these bowls but not for dogs. I have a cat who is a water lover and likes to spill the water even if the bowl is very big but not heavy enough so I found this solution and I can say that it really works. I’m really happy with this purchase. Highly recommended!

This bowl is keeping our wood floor dry. Puppy can’t tip it over, and the lip that bends in keeps the splashes down. It’s worth the extra effort to clean under the lip – that only takes a moment.

love this bowl! before, i was quite literally using a bath towel daily to clean the drinking area. this bowl contains at least 95% of the mess.
top ring is a bit hard to remove, but i suppose if it weren’t, it would leak…
love that it’s removeable – easy to clean.
rubber ring on bottom does come off a bit too easily, goes back on easily too, so who cares …
i could see how a ‘pusher’ might tip the bowl, its fairly lightweight, but for a dog who is just a sloppy drinker, it’s fantastic!
one suggestion – offer in a larger size. bought 64ox size. occasionally my great pyrenees can empty the bowl in one trip!
nutshell – looks nice. works great. cleans easily. worth the price.

Our 6 month old lab IMMEDIATELY tipped the bowl over and removed the rubber ring to chew on. Easily cleaned, and of great quality, and we use it where we can refill after tips. We finally bought a huge rubber calf pan at the farm supply for $9.99, which is harder to tip. That works better when you need to leave the dog for a few hours, and need to have water available.

This works great I only wish that the ring around the bottom did not come off. Water gets under it and it gets dirty.

My dog goes everywhere with me and I needed something that wouldn’t leave a puddle after each trip. This definitely fit the bill. You can fill the bowl about 75% full and have no issues with spillage, even on winding mountain roads or quick stops in city traffic. The opening is the perfect size for my smaller dog but if you have a larger breed, it may take a bit for them to get used to the enclosed design. At first the spill-proof lip was quite hard to remove and required a bit of force but this becomes easier with use.

My only complaint is the size of the handle opening. It is a bit small and uncomfortable to use and I do not have what I would consider to be large hands.
