Outdoor Ceiling Fans – Shopping Tips

A while back, my friend and I were out shopping for a ceiling fan with lights for her outdoor living space. It was quite an overwhelming process with all the different styles and options available! After an hour and a half worth of shopping – and a lot of choices later – my friend decided on getting a fan with a weathered brick base and dark woven blades. She placed the order, asked for the estimated delivery time, and paid for the purchase.

She called me on the day that the outdoor ceiling fan would be delivered, and I was with her in the outside living room when it arrived. We were sipping lemonade, and in order to get into the tropical atmosphere, my friend was in her favored summer outfit complete with straw hat and sunglasses. It was so cute! She was so excited about the purchase, and when the box came, she was like a kid opening her gift on Christmas morning.

She signed the form and asked how long the installation would take, and the delivery man just shrugged his shoulders and told us that he was only assigned for the delivery, but not the installation. Ceiling fan installation would be a different service and it would be paid for in addition to the purchase and delivery! So much so for the tropical atmosphere we were both looking forward to so much …

When shopping for your outside ceiling fan, make sure to ask the store about installation as well. Don’t make the same mistake we did, or you’ll end up disappointed and in the dark – literally!

This is the first fan from Cooler Master to adopt Barometric Ball Bearing (BBB) technology.
